This position will often work with court officers, DHS and child welfare specialists, school teachers and school district administrators, and other team members.
The Therapist will be a part of the care team to guide or direct services in the appropriate clinical direction.
Specific responsibilities include:
Clinical Assessments Complete clinical assessments for consumers in an inpatient setting.
Utilize assessment to determine therapeutic or behavioral health needs and referrals needed if deemed appropriate.
Follow standards of data and paperwork completion set forth by the Agency.
Therapy Assess treatment needs utilizing mental health assessments, supporting documents, and in person interviews.
Prepare and implement a therapeutic treatment plan with input from client, family, and referral source.
Demonstrate proficiency in use of various treatment techniques.
Develop and implement a therapeutic agenda for each session pursuant to therapeutic needs.
Provide ongoing communication with other care team members to assure case cohesion and progress.
Calmly and effectively provides crisis intervention and safety/crisis planning for clients and families as appropriate.
Follow standards for data and paperwork completion set forth by the Agency.
Participate in discharge planning & documentation.
Interface with school, medical &psychiatric contacts, referring worker and collateral materials.

To qualify you must have a Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
An active Iowa license is required prior to starting.
Eligible licenses include:
LMSW, LISW, LMHC, tLMHC, LMFT or tLMFT.
Four Oaks will provide supervision towards full licensure.
